Cy-Hawk fear...

Yep. Another one of my favorite Hawk fallacies that is easily proven wrong by looking at things like "Facts."[TABLE="class: grid, width: 500, align: center"]

So two upsets over that span in a rivalry game?

For the win!

1) 10 game schedule will just hurt their chances of more B1G teams in the playoffs, even if it is expanded.
2) State something that bold, then don't allow comments, whatever.
3) Ban the game or require home/home games, won't the Iowa legislature just vote to require the game

Are you trying to set up the, "Iowa State's Superbowl"? This will be the first thing you hear if you throw out 7-7 or 9-7 stats. Unless they choose to go to 15 in a row, or the overall record. Why argue about it?

Their football record, money, status is better than us. It's not hard to see this. Do I feel that we could have the same record as them using their schedule? Most years yes. Do I think they would do the same with our schedule? Possibly better. WHO CARES?!?! We hopefully are on the rise and we can see a much-improved offense with this staff. If so, then who knows what the future vectors will be? I for one don't care, I just like football!

Couldn't agree more.

I'll also add that the parallels between iowa football and isu basketball are similar to isu football and iowa basketball.

And both fanbases have major insecurity problems being second best.

Both fanbases also use definite terms. As in isu basketball will always be better. Or iowa football will always be better. Which, considering the history of both schools, is a bold statement.

A whole lot of entitlement to even suggest/request a Power 5 opponent to a yearly series where all games are played on your home field regardless of historical margin of victory and record in the series.

This is by far the best part of the article.

"Oh hey, Florida State, we're not going to play you unless all of the games are in Gainesville." - Will Muschamp

Outside of 2005, in the last 12 years please point to a game vs ISU where Iowa had "their ***** handed to them". You're biggest margin of victory outside of 2005 was a whopping 5pt win. Conversely, during that same time, Iowa pasted ISU numerous times by 30+ points which would've 50+ under any other coach not named Kirk Ferentz.

Your $4million dollar coach has:

*Losing record vs ISU
*Losing record vs the Big 12
*Losing record vs the old Big 12 North

In fact--the old Big 12 North had a winning record over the entire Big 10 during the years of Big 12 divisions

Why are the 80+ posts on something Jon Miller wrote? I am sure Gary Barta follows what he says, I mean if Jon Miller isn't the voice of the people I don't know who is...

I agree with him but he has it slightly wrong. Iowa benefits from that game by increasing their S.O.S should they ever have a decent team in an 8 game playoff scenario. Iowa State plays in a tougher conference and the Iowa game does nothing for us s.o.s wise and exposes us to a potential noncon loss and in the Big 12 we need every win we can get. If we were in the Big 10 and they in the big 12 I would honestly feel different. We in fact have little to gain and much to lose. Good riddance imo.

I hate to break this to you... But in your magical 12 year span Iowa has only "pasted" Iowa State by 30+ once... I mean I guess to you that could be numerous but to the rest of us.... not so much

Hell you have only scored 30 points 4 times in that span... Cool tattoo you have though

He also has two conference championships, three top 8 finishes, two BCS bowl appearances (one win), and a 6-5 bowl record. In fact, KF has won twice as many bowl games as head coach as ISU has during its existence.

So hate away man, but the two programs really haven't been comparable.

what's his record vs ISU in that time span?

SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His reasoning is pretty simple and straight forward.

1. He wants to play 10 B1G games
2. He wants the two nonconference games to be Iowa home games
3. Iowa State won't play Iowa if it isn't a home and home, so the series would have to end, and he's okay with that.
4. Iowa State only won in basketball this season because they shot more free throws, otherwise Iowa blew ISU out by an 82-85 score. Also, he is awful.

The argument makes sense, but afterwards he got all trolly.

FIFY

Oops, wrong thread. But I think I'll keep it anyways.

Count me in for loving if we never played Iowa again and never had to deal with their idiotic delusional fanbase. I've grown to hate the football game each year

No Rose Bowls and doesn't even have a winning record against a bottom feeder Big 12 team...meh

the drunken idiot stagger backwards is the best part of this.

this is your fan base Iowa. soak it in

Lets be nice... when he was showing KCCI around the grounds he has a pretty bad *** rock garden and his "Beat State" with a flaming goal post tattoo is a thing of beauty.

******* mouth breather...
