Cubs team president John McDonough has stepped down to take a similar position with the Chicago Blackhawks. Guess he wants to get out before the new ownership group takes over, but for the Blackhawks? Until the Wirtz family sells the team, he has little hope of succeeding. They've driven a once proud franchise into the ground.

The blackhawks are building a good foundation with Kane & Toews. Plus Seabrook and Baker on the blueline. They are going in the right direction. Now only if Khabby could return to form.

I read a big article in the Tribune this weekend about Rocky Wirtz running the team. It made me feel much better about their future. He appears to realize his father's transgressions.
