After seeing him in one game I feel a lot better about the PG spot. I think Fred could also use BDJ like he did Will Clyburn, taking that much more pressure off the PG. I think Clayton could see the floor a good deal this year if he keeps making the simple play and hits a few open 3's. It will be interesting to see how good of a defender he is, as the level of competition rises.
I have a feeling that Clayton is a pretty good shooter. His very first 3 ever as a Cyclone was from a foot or two beyond the arc at the top of the key and it rattled inside the rim a few times and just missed. But it was dead on. No nerves at all.
Then, a short time later, he puts up another one, confidence not shaken at all, and hits nothing but net. That says a lot about him IMO. He is fearless.
His ball handling and passing seems very good as well, so I think Fred can rely on him to spell Monte at times and come in and take care of the ball and just facilitate the stars on this team. That would be a great role for him this year.
