Nov 2006. If you like to drive around with the windows down and the tunes up, this could be a good one for you. This is a 2 disc live concert but don't look for any of your old favorites, there are none, not even one. So get used to finding new favorites. There is no E Street Band but there is and full blown orchestra that has a definite Irish sound with bag pipes and accordions. The New York Times writer called it the best concert he had seen in 5 years.

The Boss wears you out. It's hard to get through the whole show because you like the first 6 tunes so much you don't want to hear the rest. Just like his last sold out show at Hilton in the 90's, everybody is crazy for the first 2 hours but eventually get wore out.

The local PBS station was showing parts of that concert during their recent pledge drive. I forked over enough to get the DVD's. PBS' Great Performances had the same group playing at a different venue late in 2006. Great show from the looks of it. We'll see if it can earn a permanent spot in the DVD changer, alongside BSO-Live in Japan and the Doobie Bros - Live at Wolftrap.

I love watching live music...
