with only Nebraska left on the schedule I was wondering what the seeding is going to look like. Does anyone have a breakdown of the head-to-heads this year?

Big 12 Rankings - D1 College Wrestling

This is pretty close to what the seedings will be only weight really up in the air is the 157 pound weigh class. Sorenson could be the 2, 3, or 4 seed at the Big 12s.

Even if Sorenson would drop the match against Nebby, I don't think he'd drop below the #3 seed. He'll have a the head to head advantage over Erisman and Wright. If he wins Saturday, he should be the #2 and I'm sure Erisman will be ready for a rematch. The Big 5 should send 3 at 157. He needs to nail down a top 3 seed this weekend then at least wrestle to seed at conference.

My guesstimate of seeds based on anticipated outcomes this weekend.

Long-1
Fanthorpe-2
Jensen-4/5
Mueller-2
Sorenson-2/3
Reader-1
Burk-4
Ward-3 (needs to get back on track and beat Ihnen this wkd)
Varner-1/2 (I don't think Brester beats him, but I'm not going to get overconfident)
Z-2

Right now, my biggest concern as far as a weight qualifying for NCAA's is 141. Jensen may qualify his spot with his pins of Krom and Prater but he needs a win or two at conference to claim it. Burk hasn't been great this year, but 174 stands a decent chance of qualifying all 5 wrestlers from the conference based on rankings/rpi.

Does anyone know if both OU-OSU meetings this year determine the Big 12 seedings? I suspect that the match back in December has no bearing and that only the match this coming weekend counts.

OU schedule
January 22-Iowa State @ Home
February 4-Nebraska @ Lincoln, Nebraska
February 6-Missouri @ Columbia, Missouri

OSU schedule
January 24-Iowa State @ Home
February 7-Missouri @ Columbia, Missouri
February 12-Nebraska @ Home

based on the rest of their conference schedule
I'd say the match at OU would count which is the later match.

I remember Cael saying that all the meetings effect seeding.

Doesn't matter if it's Midlands, National Duals or Conference Meets. They are all factored into the equation.
