Some discussion on the B12 Non-Conf Football schedules on Williams and Blum this week.

Below are the schedules by school and games vs. the P4 highlighted. Note that there are 2 "non-conf" games between Big 12 schools since these were on the schedule from when the schools were members of different conferences (KSU vs. ARI and Bay vs. Utah).

Texas Tech is the only school that does not play a game vs. the "P4", although they do play Washington State.

WVU & TCU each play two games against P4 schools. TCU plays Stanford & SMU, WVU plays Penn St and Pitt.

There are 4 games vs. B10 schools and 4 vs. SEC schools. There are 5 match ups with the ACC but 3 of them are against brand new members (SMU twice and Stanford).

I think the biggest games are:

- UCF vs. Florida
- Hou vs. OU
- WVU vs. Penn St
- WVU vs. Pitt
- Iowa State vs. Iowa
- Colorado vs. Neb
- OSU vs. Ark

I would say the biggest games for the Big 12 would be Iowa-Iowa State, OSU-Arkansas and UCF-Florida, and then the WVU-Penn State game.
If we can pick up two or three wins in those games, that should help us later on when CFP games are decided.

Arkansas and Florida both suck. I think losses to those teams would hurt us more than a win would help the Big 12. Arkansas and Florida will be lucky to be .500. Iowa is a borderline top 30 team. PSU steamrolled them last season like they were a bad Mac team.

PSU is a top 10 team. Beating them would help the big 12 gain respect.

Florida has an “interesting“ schedule in November.

My wet dream scenario would be for Iowa State and Oklahoma State to go undefeated and meet in the conference championship game.

It would be a middle finger to the old PAC schools who think they will win it all in their first year in the Big 12.

Or even ISU and OSU to meet in the CCG with 1 conference loss apiece. [And ISU going 3-0 in non-con.]

The second week also has KU @ IL, and Miss St @ Arizona St. Both of those will also be big.
