UGH dont remind me how we had to choke so many times to get beaten by a lowly big 10 team. So embarrasing.
I don't agree. Florida, maybe. But the last time they played a "juggernaut" OU team, it was the widest margin of victory EVER in the history of the NC game.
I'm sorry - they're usually playing Big Ten teams in the bowl season.
If there was a USC-Cal rematch in the Rose Bowl, there's no way it would be a score like this at the half.
Stop using the 2005 OU-USC game to prove a point. It is almost totally pointless because the next year Texas beat USC
No, it proves that USC is a damn good team in January. It's not the Big Ten's fault that they lose to a bad Pac 10 team and get kept out of the NC game.
PSU would have had a much better time against Oregon State (again) or even Oregon.
No, it proves that they are good team that can be beat. Because Texas did it. The fact that the B10 can't and has had NUMEROUS chances just proves how bad that conference really is.
We're are not talking about one team from the B10 having trouble like Oklahoma. We're talking about an entire conference having trouble. Michigan, OSU, Illinois, Iowa and now PSU.
Even Herbstreit, a B10 guy, admits the conference is a joke. Early this year he said the B10 is the equivalent of the MAC.
9-4 vs. a conference equals their equivalents? Huh, that's good math. I guess if I use that logic, the Big Ten is equal to the Big 12!
BTW, PSU made it respectable in the 2nd half. While they never got back in the game, they put up solid numbers against that vaunted USC defense, and turned a 24 point loss into a 14 point loss.

Both Penn St and USC are now on my **** list. I'm freaking broke......you guys should be ****ed off as well. This means I will have to post even more to get my credits back.
I have no issue at all with Penn State in the Rose Bowl, they won their conference so they should be there.
My problem is that everyone knew the Big 10 was bad this year and the BCS took TWO teams from the conference. My guess is that Texas will beat up on Ohio State and then the Big 10 can thank Iowa for its only bowl win this year.

You at least have to give it to the little 11. Some how their powers that be were able to get all these bowl game tie ins and a TV package that I wish the Big 12 had. Even if it is an embarrassment the way they perform (1-5 in bowls so far) on the big stage they are laughing all the way to the bank. I have always referred to the little 11 as nothing more than a mid major, with $$ and great salesman.
Want proof, turn on the Big 10 Network. Watch a game tonight (hard to do stomach, I know) and you will be able to see it 4 more times in the next 24 hours (enough to make you want to rip your eyes out.) They have all this $$ for a TV station, but can't come up with any programming for it other then game replays, yet they were still able to sell (con) cable / satellite providers to carry the station.

What is really scary is had Iowa not beaten PSU we probably would have had to watch this sort of drubbing being administered to the Big 10 in the NC game. In my opinion, going undefeated in the Big 10 right now is no different than going undefeated in the WAC or Mountain West.
