Just wondering if anybody has any experience with or has heard anything good/bad about Belz Auto Outlet on Merle Hay in Johnston? I am in the market for a truck - early 2000's Silverado 1500 Ext Cab 4x4, and I found one on the cars.com classifieds this morning that seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I drove over there, and all of their vehicles were still trapped in a parking lot full of snow! They appeared to be open- there was a light on and I saw someone inside the office, but needless to say the parking lot full of snow 3 days after the blizzard was a major red flag and I left without even looking around. Fortunately I was still on an extended test drive in a 2500 Silverado 4x4 that I was thinking about buying from a coworker, or I would still be stuck in their parking lot.

Anyways, I've pretty much crossed that particular truck/dealer off the list, but figured I might as well check with the experts...

about 5 years back i looked at a car from them, he said it was his nephews(iirc) and that he had just gotten a truck and needed to sell his car,i got all the info on the car and went home to do a carfax, found out it was in an accident involving a deer ... asked the dealer about the damage to it and if it was salvaged or "re-certified" ... he proceeded to play stupid and said i must have had the wrong vin and that the car was never in an accident nor did it have a salvage title ... needless to say, i took my business elsewhere

As a general rule, I try to stay away from dealerships that don't sell new cars. A lot of them seem to specialize in vehicles that have been wrecked.

Friend of mine bought a Trans Am there about 10 years ago. We found out later it had been totaled and the body was full of Bondo.
