Actually Gmac was the main cause for Grayer leaving. Gmac hired him as an assistant (in what was mainly a PR move imo), then shortly after left for Creighton. ISU hired Hoiberg. Hoiberg does not have to keep any of Gmac' assistants and he didn't want to keep Grayer as a full-time assistant, then Grayer left because he did not want an Administrative position. So Gmac leaving for Creighton was the main precursor to Grayer leaving ISU.
It will be interesting if both ISU and Creighton offer.
I presume there's a big Creighton football game that weekend.
I couldn't go to a school without a football team. What a freaking drag.

No, Pollard and Chewy hired Jeff Grayer to try to buy some goodwill for his dried out carcus. Grayer was here to be a shield after four lousy years where everyone knew that the only reason he was coming back was because we couldn't afford his buyout. Then Pollard wrote the stupidest letter in the history of athletic directors (whoever allowed that to happen should have been fired on the spot), and so they needed something to cover them for a short time.
I mean how hard would it have been to crucify Chewy with the greatest player in school history on the staff.
It's like his third year when they thought the conference would be down, and it was, so they thought if they scheduled THE most pathetic non-conference schedule in the history of the school, that they could win some games to give the illusion of progress. Of course Chewy still managed to steal losses from the jaws of defeat against Hawaii and Drake, so that negated any momentum that team could try to gather.
As far as this player, we should all be happy that this group looks like they want to run. And as guard poor as this program has been the past four years, I am all for getting as many athletic guards on the roster as possible.

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, but, OU knows who this kid is and the discussion is less then stellar from someone that has seen him play over 20 times....i will still trust the staff, they know what they're looking for and i cant even tell you how overly impressed i've been with not only the players they've recruited, got committments from but the overall enthusiasm for a program that was nearly decapitated!!!!!

I read an article that said he averaged 22 points a game last year, so I don't think that guy knows what he's talking about.
Not to hate on you, or ur comments about the OU guy with insider info...
But, Mr. McGee scored a very very good 532 pts last year. based on a standard division winning team, 34 games, that equates to 15.6 pts per game. but, if they only played in 26-28 games his numbers would be up around 18 pts a game....pretty dang good for a freshman...

My guess, the OU guys stats are correct or close....not to say his evaluation is...i was simply saying...
As i said before, Freddy knows something about guard play!!! Plus this staff is only getting better at recruiting by bringing in Mcroy....good things await this program, this staff WILL bring in the talent....now can they coach them and make them better...thats the truest form of coaching.....it'll be a fun ride no doubt!!!!
