Applebees in Council Bluffs and Sioux City

Was going through the packet of stuff that you recieve when you get your season football ticket. Enclosed was a small calendar and 10 or 12 coupons. Thought it was funny that the Applebees coupon is VALID throughout Iowa, which makes sense, however, not valid at Council Bluffs and Sioux City Applebees....:skeptical: Gee I wonder why..... So for those that live in those areas, perhaps consider other options.


Also, part of the coupon pack included a nice coupon for Valentino's and seems to be valid anywhere so here is a good option! By the way, Valentino's is a Lincoln, NE based franchisee/corporation and also owns the Grand Italian Buffet. Never eaten there...anyone have thoughts on the food?

The Applebees coupon not being valid in those two cities is probably a franchise issue. A different company own's the rights to the Abees there then in the rest of Iowa.

Excellent point on your part as far as a franchiee. However, there is nothing to indicate or suggest that is the case. That would be like saying all of Iowa's Applebees except 3 are owned by the same franchisee or are all only corporate, which is highly doubtful. I do know that the Sioux City(2) and Council Bluffs(1) stores are owned by a separate farnchisee. And it might be as simple as those two were not contacted, which based on how advertising works, highly doubtful. Eat there if you wish and just thought I would point that out. Thought it was very unique to add that to a coupon, a very specific clarification eliminating a store in Iowa, considering they are in the geographic area of the consumer.


However, your point is well taken.

Valentino's is good, have eaten at them for years, with the exception of the one in Fremont, not so good. The one in Lincoln is the best.

Valentino's is one of those restaurants that can be amazing one day and horrible the next.
