Wow. What a blatant ripoff (except for the absolutely ******, awful chorus). It sounds more like "Can't Stand Losing You" than "Message In a Bottle" to me, but either way, this is ridiculous.

that song does have a Cecilia beat. But every time I hear that song I think that Some Nights by Fun is the long lost track from the "Coming To America" soundtrack Where Freddie Mercury teamed up and fronted for Men at Work and they came up with this song

the first time it came on the radio i had that same thought: this sounds like a police ripoff

if sting sounded and acted like a total ****** bag, the song would have been identical

I've been thinking that Bruno Mars song definitely sounds like a Police ripoff. I was tempted to get on the twitter machine and ask him how much one of their (The Police) B-sides cost, but it was not worth the potential teeny-bopper outrage.

It is also worth noting that last year as Bruno Mars toured he covered Roxanne a lot. Hmm it still is hard to put a finger on where he got the inspiration tho. Honestly I think it is a little more than inspiration and borders on ripoff
