I certainly wouldn't be excited over a kid who had never played HS ball before!! Hahaha...

That's not the question. Well it is a question, but a stupid one. You do realize we have been to 5 bowls in 6 years and Mccarney's job is about as safe as you get in college football? Let me guess, you think we can just hire a new coach and suddenly we'll be at the same level as Texas and Oklahoma?

I think there are a lot of good things going on at Iowa State as far as recruiting is concerned. I like the fact that we're stealing top recruits from Nebraska. I also like the fact that Texas is giving us a steady supply of top notch athletes. I'm expecting this Cyclone football team to turn into a powerhouse for a long time...as long as we can get over that hump just once.

This might be the most excited that I've ever been about Cyclone football. GO STATE!!!

I don't think there is any question he'll see them play. If they redshirt he'll see them play for 5 years.
