Ames UFC Watch Spots

Hey fanatics, I need some help figuring out where in town I can watch the UFC fights on Saturday night. I usually do not watch them but my friend is leaving for Alaska because he just got stationed there. He is making a stop over in Ames and wants to watch um. Any recommendations on where to go?

I could never find any places to watch UFC when I was in Ames. If you are up for a road trip, I know 3rd base in West Des Moines always has them (that's where I always go) as does Overtime on 86th in Urbandale

Buffalo Wild Wings usually has the fights. You will want to get there really early (we usually show up at 7) and you generally have to have the majority of your party with you before they'll seat you.

I forgot about BWW out by Jordan Creek. It's really hard to get a spot there so I usually go to 3rd base (even if there's no open tables, there's plenty of room to stand and watch)

Check the UFC website, they usually have a list of sports bars that are carrying the fights.

Also, there aren't any UFC fights this weekend...

Can anyone confirm this because I would love to stay in ames and watch them, and supporting a CF sponsor would be awesome also.

A few places had them when I was in college, but since then from my understanding all of them have gone away from showing the fights. They charge so much money that the places in Ames could afford them. When BWW opens they will have them there.

On a side note, there is a BWW in Ankeny. I believe there is a taxi place out of Ankeny that has vans. You probably could get a few friends together and split the cost if you really wanted to.
