this is one of the dumber things I've seen said and I personally say plenty of dumb things from dumb to time.
Its not just fans - literally the "experts" and media float his name every chance they can. its not about the fans saying - every game on TV, the analysts say it, after we have success, more people say it, and reporters / experts say it. so your argument isn't even valid because its not like Iowa State fans have been drumming up interest in Campbell for other schools because that would be dumb.
Wouldn't that be bust or bust? He did a pod the Lions, but the Browns isn't a huge step up.
I don’t think Kelly is going to do very well there. At 60 his best years are behind him. That speech was so uninspiring, almost reminded me of Les Miles’ presser at Kansas. Notre Dame will be the winner here. Freeman seems to be a stud and the players will run through a wall for him. Watch out if they make the playoff with him at the helm.

After seeing the speech and the assistants staying, I'm giving Kelly 2 years. Maybe LSU drags it out with the amount of money they're dishing out, but it will be apparent after 2 years it isn't going to work.
It would have been a real F up for Notre Dame to try starting over when things are going so well.
