Alamodome

Not sure if this has been talked about or not but how does San Antonio have a dome this size with no NFL or major college football team. Did they build just to entice organizers to host events such as this in San Antonio? What else is it used for?

yes ... sbc center - which has the asthetics of a cardboard box on the outside compared to the alamodome

Spurs no longer play there. After the spurs got their own arena San Antonio renovated this one to upgrade for a possible NFL expansion team, which didn't work out. So since that didn't work out....what now?

I think they host a lot of conventions, trade shows, concerts, etc. Its probably used a lot like Wells Fargo, but for a much, much larger city.

a lot of them in oklahoma city which worked well and one reason the sonics want to move their???
