Everything has been reported. Should be taken care of very soon. Sorry for the pain in the *** ads. I wish that we didn't have to run them. They aren't supposed to have sound. All I can do is report them when they pop up.

Eh, it happens. Cant ***** to much for it, since this is a free site and the ads help pay. However, I cant keep CF open while at work if they keep making noise, which will lose you approximately 100 hits/day! :spinny:

Ads have been reported and will be removed asap. They aren't allowed on the site. We are very specific with this company about this but from time to time, noisy ones slip through the cracks. We're on it. Thanks for your input.

If you are very specific, do they give you any compensation when these slip through? Also I assume you get paid no matter what as I'm sure nobody clicks any of these ads, no click through money, since they are way way down on the bottom.

I know we are all happy that the site is free and we know you have to make money, but I think it's clear that this particular one is really hurting the site because a lot of people have admitted they visit the site a whole lot less when these come up. I can't mute at work so it usually means I'm off the site a whole day. This and load times, shockwave problems coming with that ad.

I'm not going to get into financial specifics with this sort of thing. The company is making changes going forward and once those changes are implemented, it will be nearly impossible for a noisy ad to slip through in the near future. As always, thanks for your input.

Aaaand, it's happening again. A couple of Bud Light ads.

So what part of "no sound" is the advertising provider not understanding?

I hope that advertiser is paying you guys a ****-load of cash, because that ad is the biggest pain in the *** with the video and sound. I'm farily confident that no one on this board would even click on the ads because they've ****** everyone off so often.

For those using Firefox, AdBlock Plus does a good job blocking the adds after adding a filter. The site definitely loads faster.

I keep getting a Pay Per View UFC Bash at the Bayou with sound on mine.

I listen to Bloomberg Radio streaming so it can be funny when some loud announcer hyping up UFC jumps in the middle of stock market reports and interviews.

FYI - still getting the Bud Light ads with sound. Really interfering with my ability to watch the US Open on ESPN3 while I cruise CF.

Oh, yeah... I'm working, too. Happy Friday, everyone.

There is a fountain something ad that's autoplaying with sound. It was playing in the square adspace. It was above and to the right the sportsfeed one.

edit: saw it again, its for Speedway Gas Stations, fountainpalooza.
