would Nurse and Grayer really want to work for a rookie head coach that is younger than both of them and without as much experience as either of them? I thought Grayer wanted to come to ISU to learn from an experienced coach, not Hoiberg. Also, why would Nurse want to stick around now, helping out a guy that doesn't experience he has? Very puzzling.
 
I understand the fact that there is concern about his lack of coaching experience, but keep in mind, this guy had a nice NBA career going until he had problems with his heart so he must know a little something about how the game is played, because thousands of guys with more talent than him never made it half as long in the league. Also, if he's a VP of and NBA team, someone must think he's got a heck of an eye for determining talent thus making him somewhat of an effective recruiter. Who better to sell Ames and the possibilities out there by playing basketball for ISU??? I think the dissappointment being expressed on this topic is pretty sad. It seems like people are more disappointed with Freddy's return than they were when GMAC was given another year. I think it'd be a great hire and I have no doubt he'd surround himself with great assistants.
 
Great hire! Loyalty is important (just like CPR). Young coaches is the "in" thing in college basketball if you haven't noticed.

Plus we keep Grayer and Nurse (from what I'm hearing)

HOLY $$$$$. Did hre say he'll do it fro free. Jamie you have BALLS the size of basketballs. How could Goeffery sign off on this?

If he succeeds, he will be renamed "The President"
If not, ugh
 
Not a exciting hire, but not disappointed. Was not overly thrilled with the Rhoads hire either. Give him a chance.

Well Otz is a very good recruiter and will keep most if not all current players and recruits and do you really want Freddy starting with an empty bench?

Nurse isn't a GMac guy he was hired from the Iowa Energy 4 days ago and is a very good experienced coach.
