Now that Nebraska has fired Callahan, our Cyclones will face at least 3 Big 12 teams (Baylor, A&M, and Neb.) next year with 1st year coaches. It's a real good opportunity to take advantage of. Things are looking good and a pretty good bowl game is not unrealistic.

A first-year coach doesn't mean a guaranteed win. Just ask Dan McCarney. He played Bob Stoops in his first year at Oklahoma, and lost.

It's a great schedule, but we're not ready to fully take advantage of it ourselves.

look what CU did this year after a 2-10 season in 2006. 6-6 and likely going bowling, including a victory over a top 10 opponent (OU). I think that would be a fanstastic achievement for Chizik and ISU in '08. Yes, it will be a challenge, but it is realistic considering the schedule and how the team came together the last 5 weeks of this season.
