Ashley did not play well. Never found her shot, never had any sets run for her which doesn't help. But she had a few opportunities and didn't take advantage.

The game is 3x3 not 1x3. Canada played it 3x3 we were too many times 1x3. I blame part of this on the coach for not reinforcing this prior to start of the finals.

I counted eight shots for Ashley, including the three which were blocked and didn't make it to the rim. It's not like the others froze her out - she just didn't play well. She got wide open looks from behind the arc - that's why she was on the team - she was too long today...
Her defense wasn't bad -almost always matched against one of the larger Plouffe sisters, she had a couple steals and drew a charge - I believe she only gave up one point (foul & free throw).
Unfortunate - hope they bounce back and win bronze. I'm not going to pretend I'm surprised at this result - none of Team USA's games would qualify as aesthetically pleasing, and Canada has a veteran squad with Division 1 college and significant pro experience.
So far, all three pool winners -- who got byes into the quarterfinals -- have lost in the quarters.

8 2-pointers made in five games? The ISU team probably had that many in at least one of their games. It’s highly likely this US team would not have won HOF tournament. Lack of team play was highly evident in what I was able to watch in the group games.
If anybody cares, Canada lost to France in the Finals, 16-13, and one of the Plouffe sisters was named to the three woman all tournament team!
