@brentblum: Iowa State basketball ranked in regular season for 1st time since November, 2005. Cyclones were ranked briefly prior to 2012 Big 12 tourney.

So, maybe #23 in the Coaches' Poll?
That's just a guess. It seems like teams emerge 2-3 spots lower in that poll when they first appear.

Really hope we can carry momentum with us to BYU.

Last time we were ranked was 2012... end of story.
Way to go Cyclones.
Not sure how we are ranked lower than Michigan, polls just dont make sense early in the season. Too much name recognition goes into it and preseason expectations. UNC should not be ranked they have played horrible ball.

That's the cherry on top. If we didn't win yesterday, they'd be ranked. Lol.
I still think it's dumb that Iowa keeps moving up that much from beating these no namers.
Because they were a top 10 team while we didn't have any AP votes at all. Instead of complaining, why not just be happy we have numbers next to our name again...
It's really really nice to have numbers by our name and be relevant again.
That said, polls before Jan 1 are silly and meaningless.
We control our own destiny from here on out. ISU has gotten a fantastic start, all they gotta do is keep it rolling like we've done the past two seasons and we're going to be dancing with a much higher seed than in the past.
This season definitely has the potential to be one of the most memorable in recent Cyclone basketball memory.
Lastly a prediction:
I think the basketball Gods would like to see a ISU v. Michigan rematch. I have a feeling we're going to see it happen come March. Imagine that game and its rating/entertainment value. Off the charts.

If we can snag a BYU win, I think we have a real chance to crack top 15 or better. (in the coming weeks)
