Nothing to do with actual sports, but Good Heavens Maria Taylor is just beautiful.
It is something when you give the elder stateswoman of basketball a spot on the roster for history’s sake (over several very deserving WNBA rookies) and by the gold medal game she’s lost her starting spot and doesn’t even get into the gameWow.
Okay. Can Diana Taurasi go away now?
WBB was the last event.
40-40 tie in gold with China.
I don't get all the hate about niche sports.
Shooting certainly isn't. It has real world applications and definitely requires skill.
Badminton and Table Tennis are as legit as tennis or volleyball. It takes some endurance. And it takes incredible hand eye coordination.
And what is the argument against rowing and canoeing?
I don't think its that much hate, but more of China winning the all these Golds but not winning much or any of the high visibility contests.I don't get all the hate about niche sports.

Kind of like if Iowa beat ISU in Football, Mens and Womens basketball, golf, softball, wrestling, but we were bragging about finishing higher in the directors cup or something.

I don’t hate them but are you being serious?
I agree kayaking can be incredibly demanding but all sports just aren’t equally demanding.
High visibility probably is also probably affected by where you live, something like Table Tennis is wildly popular in China, track & field probably less so.I don't think its that much hate, but more of China winning the all these Golds but not winning much or any of the high visibility contests.

So it's based on the most demanding? That eliminates basketball, swimming and most of track & field.
China won at least ten medals in Shooting. By your logic, USA should have won 1000.High visibility probably is also probably affected by where you live, something like Table Tennis is wildly popular in China, track & field probably less so.
Sure, so just talk up the track and field and swimming medals and be proud of that. NBC has been touring the track and field gold medals a ton. No need to put down the other events.25% of the Olympics and world sport is not table tennis and shooting as China’s medal count suggests. Can we agree there?
I heard Wordle is on the list of reviewable medal contests.Mahjong is probably coming soon.
