I've only been able to piece together part of next year's non-conference schedule. Can anyone fill in the holes?

I'm sure when they put the schedule together it looked tougher, as the Minnesota program hadn't gone into its super implosion metldown yet, but in no particular order..

Drake (H) - should be a big win
UNI (A) - should be a big win
Minnesota (H) - the Gophers are lucky they are even fielding a team, so this should be a big win
St. Louis (N) - bad team in lowly conference, s/b another big win
Iowa (A) - the Hawkeyes will be very good next year, so this will be tough one to win. But if you have followed this game for the last few years - the team that loses this game ends up with the better season.

Cyclone Classic ???
Cyclone Classic ???

CA Tournament ???
CA Tournament ???

That leaves two games for which I haven't heard an annoucement.

Go Cyclones!

Illinois State just released their schedule. Iowa State plays the Redbirds at Hilton on December 20th.

This one is interesting in my opinion, but only if you're a Illinois State fan.

Coach Fennelly has said on several different occasions that he doesn't like playing teams coached by his former assistants (as is Illinois State). He made an exception last year for the University of Akron, almost coming out and saying that he was doing a favor for the coach (I don't remember her name) who was having a hard time bringing any success to the program. Well, Akron had another disappointing year and the coach resigned at the end of season.

I hope Pingeton (for her sake) is not getting the same favor. I don't think I'm being too pessamistic here. Illinois State made it to the NCAA two years ago after a miracle run through the MVC tourney, but they have never posted a winning record under her leadership (3 seasons total).

One thing that will be fun to watch is that Megan McCracken will be back playing as a senior with Illinois State. She did have a pretty decent freshman campaign with Iowa State and I truly believe if she would have stuck around (she would have been a senior last year), she would have given us that guard depth we needed when Medders was injured. My tea leaves tell me we would have picked up both Kansas games and one other. That would have put us at 10-6 and into the NCAA's.

Go Cyclones!
