Did they ever stop to think they could get busted for submitting $48 K in claims for root canals? Or reimbursements ranging from $65K - $420K ?#@? It was the NBA's Health Plan too.

Notable names: Terrence Williams , Tony Allen (and his wife) and Sebastian Telfair .

"...In one instance, she said, an ex-player was playing basketball in Taiwan when he was supposedly getting $48,000 worth of root canals and crowns on eight teeth at a Beverly Hills, California, dental office in December 2018.

The indictment said the scheme was carried out from at least 2017 to 2020, when the plan — funded primarily by NBA teams — received false claims totaling about $3.9 million. Of that, the defendants received about $2.5 million in fraudulent proceeds..."

Maybe they should have actually went to their civics or ethics classes in college instead of having a tutor do all their course work.

I wonder how many of the 18 actually got a college education, or a high school one for that matter?

There is so much insurance fraud throughout the country. It's not just limited to this group.
