Kind of surprised nobody is discussing. They're on ESPNU tonight at Kansas State.

Start of the third set right now, ISU with two so far, 25-18 26-24. Not an inspired effort from the ladies, but its enough to control things against a KSU team that looks pretty bad. Good ball control from the ladies tonight, lots of in system passing.

was too busy watching ;) Solidish game. Not sure how Lex got picked to be the one subbed out when serving. We've always done well in that rotation I thought.

Big game on Saturday.

Good win for the ladies...at a place we don’t win much.

I don’t understand Schabens short/weak float serve after seeing her smash a few in the 3rd set. Only think I can think of is saving her arm for swings.

Need to defend Hilton Saturday!

That new serve is trying to make the setter or middle play the first ball. It is difficult to get in system quickly and you can jam up the front of the net if the back row has to come. Ideally if you can make the setter play the first ball you can wreak havoc.

I completely get the reason for the short Serve...but why is Schaben the one implementing this? You would think someone with a less effective serve would be moving to a short Serve.
