That's an aspect I didn't consider. I'm sure plenty of elements work against such a proposition. If it was workable, it'd probably be happening already.

Random ISU FB player you remember

Kelly Goodburn. He went on to solid career as punter in the NFL. In high school he was QB in our (now defunct) conference. I didn't compete against him directly, he was senior when I was freshman and I wasn't in FB that year and didn't play any minutes in varsity BB.

I realize ISU is against the idea of neutral games vs. UNI/Drake, and I'm not all that concerned about it. But the holiday lull would make some sense for it, rotating opponent each year & playing at DSM. ISU fan attendance might be about as good as doing a low buy opponent at Hilton. Iowa...

On That Note: With Six You Get Egg Roll

No worries about the thread title ... I couldn't think of anything fitting / clever, so I was no help in that regard.

On That Note: With Six You Get Egg Roll

Anyone else ‘member this (released in '76)? The obvious hit is obvious, and I won’t even post it here, but the album overall is fairly good, I still think an apt merger of classical & disco.

On That Note: With Six You Get Egg Roll

I had the 8-track, too! It belonged to my sister and she left it at home among other tapes when she went to college. I'm not sure how many hundreds of times I played Comes Alive, but eventually the tape quality became ... compromised. :)

On That Note: With Six You Get Egg Roll

It's a classic. The LP came with stickers of the cover, which I immediately placed on a dresser-mirror in my bedroom. Coincidentally, just a few days ago, during an overdue late-spring-cleaning purge, I pitched a R&R Over T-shirt that was in a storage room. The shirt was grungy and...

I wonder if at some point ISU will play Creighton and/or NW in an actual game, or just keep doing exhibitions.

I did a post about half-hour after yours, hadn't seen yours... and I think it was EXACT same three songs. :D (I deleted my entry).

Boom — The Sonics February 1966 (Shout-out to @CloneFan65 for recent reference in CF thread “What music are listening to right now?”) Among groups considered in-retro as “proto-punk.” Album is about 50% covers, such as Louie Louie, and most are good renditions with the band's sound, but I’m...

Kiss combo: “Destroyer” (March 15, 1976) “Rock and Roll Over” (Nov. 1, 1976) I’m combining these, posting only a couple of tracks from each, in case others want to join the party. From Destroyer At the time, I was lukewarm to this, but it could be one of the most "timeless" from the LP...

Random ISU FB player you remember

I don't know if a clip of that exists, but my memory is he caught a pass, did a stutter-step then a 180 the other direction, left defender in the turf, and sprinted for the TD. I think it was 12-7 at the time and that score pretty much sealed it. (And ISU didn't win CyHawk again until '98:().

Random ISU FB player you remember

Rocky Gillis. Didn't do anything spectacular, but he was like a 5-year player, switched from RB to WR. I remember him as part of Duncan transition and the somewhat promising '80/'81 teams.

    20 Ribeyes for $40 Scam

ADVERTISEMENT That aspect stood out for me, too, just a way to lure, then upsell. I wonder if quality of the upsell stuff is any good. I'm not sure I'd trust the "high-shelf" much considering the general sales tactic, but giving benefit of doubt.
