    Bobby Elliott to Notre Dame

now becomes the question: who does he hire? Nick Caley was a G.A. for the Secondary this year..is he an option? or maybe someone from outside the staff? Austin Flynn is coaching the secondary at Grandview.

    Bobby Elliott to Notre Dame

I'd be extremely surprised if this turned out to be just a rumor. a tweet coming from BTN seems to be pretty legit. also, Bob Elliott is not exactly the first name that would come to mind if wanting to start a rumor. just my opinion.

    Bobby Elliott to Notre Dame

this. however Cyclone fans should be thankful for his contributions. he was a very good teacher and very well regarded by players and coaches. wish him nothing but the best at Notre Dame..as much as that hurts to say..

    Bobby Elliott to Notre Dame

Seeing on Twitter that Bobby Elliott has accepted a job at Notre Dame. ISU coaches getting plucked away by big programs has to be a good sign. Wonder if CPR stays in house again and hires a G.A. for the DB's.

    Only 95 Wrestling teams remain

Actually, this makes it harder to win wrestling National Title. In volleyball (or pretty much any other sport) the highest level talent is split amongst more teams, and the next tier as well, and so on down the line. In wrestling, with there on being 95 teams, there is a smaller amount of...

    Herman Gone? Some possible replacements

Fail. He is going to go learn Meyer's system. And possibly add bits and pieces of his system to Meyer's system, if Meyer likes a specific idea. He is going there to teach Meyer's system to the offense, not to install his own offense. Saying he is bringing his system with him is a bit of a...

Exciting things in our future, but...

Really not much of a spot for Edwin Cooper at this point. Shayden/Meeks will be good at 141, so there wouldn't be a need to get him here and have him cut...and there's no way Cooper is going to beat McCauley at 149. Unless maybe he went 157..?

Herman will be OSU's OC and QB coach?

It will definitely hurt short term if we hire someone from outside who has to install a new offense, establish new relationships, with players and coaches each, etc. If we were to hire from within (like Messingham) these things would not have to happen. The long-term benefits of bringing in a...

    Herman Gone? Some possible replacements

Interesting spin on it...if you wanted to keep that in mind...maybe hire Messingham to be O.C. and continue to have WR's and bring in somebody to coach QB's? Not sure if that is likely, but could possibly work.

    Herman Gone? Some possible replacements

Courtney Messingham should be the number one choice to fill the void left by Coach Herman, if he would want the position. Messingham is widely regarded as one of Coach Rhoads' most trusted friends and coaches, right alongside Coach Bleil. Messingham is also widely respected by players, hence his...
