I'm talking about the ISU outdoor track by the softball complex. It is open to the public. Just have to avoid the times it's reserved for team use. -
Track time in Ames
University track is open to the public but reserved for the ISU XC/Track team from 2-6 pm I believe. But as long as the team isn't using it I've been able to get on it in that window without a problem. -

Vikings Tailgating
Bump. Going with FDWx. Do the bars have any thing stupid like cover charge or $8 bud lights? Just trying to figure out how much it's going to cost if we decide to do the bars or if attempting to tailgate is the better option. -

In other news, it looks like Reed Johnson and Geovany Soto just got traded. Both were pulled mid-game and were shown receiving a lot of bro-hugs from everyone in the dugout. No official word yet, but hopefully they got something decent in return.- dtclones

Yosemite and CA/OR coast

This has been the general consensus from most scouts who have watched Castro from the time he was signed. I don't think he'll be hitting 30-40 HRs a year but hitting 20-25 a year isn't a stretch at all.- dtclones

Never been up there myself, but NE Iowa/Allamakee County is pretty cool if you're into natural scenery. I'm sure you could find a nice campground up there to spend a couple days at. edit: NE Iowa, not NW. There ain't **** up in NW Iowa. -

Baseball cards have gone done so much in value over the last 15 years. It's really sad. I was looking at some of my cards in the same era you're talking about that used to be worth $25-30 and are now worth maybe a dollar or two. I bet you could get some decent money for 1971 pile you have...
