    Next coach?

I keep thinking back to when Cael left for PSU. It wasn't only salary issues, I think Pollard offered to up the amount Sanderson was getting. PSU was offering a big shiny new temple to wrestling funded by some deep pocket supporter. Do we have to go down the path of facility upgrade to get a...

Does our football program have number retired???

From the Mike Cox era....Dave Hoppmann, Tom Watkins, Tom Vaughn, Dwight Nichols. And prior to that, Jim Doran and Ed Bock.

Hallice Cooke "clears the air" on Twitter

So how many games was he suspended? I thought it was a one game suspension which would have been K-State.

    More new coaches confirmed...

I suppose there is a risk in bringing the 'old' staff along with the new HC. You aren't finding out if you could have gotten anyone 'better.' That's offset, IMHO, by being able to hit the ground running, evaluate the team members and recruits, establish recruiting responsibilities, etc. I do...

New P5 (or P6) Conference...Give the Texas and OK the finger...The Big X

Don't mean any disrespect, sir, but apparently the page in your dictionary in the "r's" where REALITY would be is missing. If geography is involved, why not include the Hoks? Why would those BIG teams willingly leave the cash that tOSU, UM, PSU football generate? CO had been thinking it...

    Sturdy....

I was impressed with the seamless deployment of different offensive packages to match what the OC wanted to run. Perhaps the same pages from the old playbook, but great situational control with less than a week to put things together.

    Chris Booker Dodge City C.C.

Before the internet and social media, we might never have known that he committed to ISU and then de-committed. Thank heavens for technology!

    Prohm's in the Bigs now...

Went to the M&W BB coming out party last Friday. #1 son there had been 8,000 at last year's event. It looked like there were about that many again this year. Out of curiosity I checked the capacity of Murray State's gym. Officially it's 8,602. The record is 8,800 something, during the Prohm...

Chatmon, ESPN: Another Embarrassing Outcome for Iowa State?

This...... And as far as Baylor/TCU/OU caring about KU and ISU, the only part of their teams that are concerned about us are the reserves who see the KU/ISU games as a chance to get some serious playing time.

    Lefties ISU history.

Why am I remembering Barry Stevens as being lefthanded?

How can the offensive line be that bad?

Solution: 7x35 wide angle binoculars. Use them and you can see like you're in your man cave. And you get to keep enjoying the tailgate party!

Bowlsby: Feels "Pretty Good" about Deregulating Title Game

I'm guessing that the conference would take about 1.5 seconds to decide to have a championship game. Jerry Jones would be right behind the AD's/Presidents in making it happen. But, do we go to divisions again, or simply have the top two of the 10 play for the title in Jerry's Jungle?

    Jack Trice throwback uniforms again?

So who decides which uni is going to be worn for a given game? Are the players who wanted another uni choice so upset they don't play well? Too many options might not be a good thing...:-)

ESPN kickoff game NDSU #1 at Montana #12

Lakes certainly used the 'inexperienced' and 'injuries' crutches a lot in the Grizz game. Thought they had the 'inexperience' thing last year. Didn't seem to hurt them much.

    Louisville Expanding Stadium

Guess I don't know what you mean by 'commuter.' According to Wikipedia, U of L has 22,000 students from all 50 states and 115 foreign countries. While it's not 'rated' as highly as ISU via USN&WR, 160 vs. 101 for ISU, U of L does have $100 million more in endowment funds than ISU, $887 million...

    Random Thoughts IV

Not sure about the make and model, but that looks like the Cleveland Indians team plane from Major League. We'll know for certain when they start wrapping the prop blades with duct tape.

RECRUITING: Top-100 PG Xavier Simpson to visit in August

Re: RECRUITING: Top-100 PG to visit in August I'm sure that's accurate. But, on the other hand, when 'commitment' means absolutely zilch in this day and age, I'm guessing at least a few are still open to recruitment. Unless the money has already changed hands under the table.

***OFFICIAL BIG 12 EXPANSION THREAD 2.0***

Thank heavens!! Another chance to land Louisville!! Anything to close the gap between the state of Iowa and West Virginia. (sorry, couldn't resist!)
