    Fantastic movie ... and I remember reading somewhere that during the shooting of the scene much of the cast and crew on hand were moved to tears by his performance and his soliloquy. One of the top 5 scifi movies of all time.

    ISU fans are 2nd only to Virginia Tech in ESPN's CFB panic rating. (No ranking for basketball ... but if there was we'd prolly be right up there.) Perhaps a high panic rating is the flip side of being "fanatics" ... but IMO it would be good to see our panic rating drop a bit. Link...

    Kansas phog has a thread ... some there discussing how Fred at Neb affects ISU recruiting ... so not just us thinking about this. Also speculating that Kansas and Neb will start playing each other due to Fred and Self palship.

    BTW, if you saw the whole thing in context ... he was responding to a question about feeling bad if he was fired ... and he was saying don't feel bad for him since he would come out OK ... but there were plenty of others everyday in life that lose their jobs that are not so fortunate as him...

    Yep ... Neb is a historical rival that is hated by a large part of the ISU fanbase. It would be a slap in the face to have left your "hometown" team only to go potentially help that rival become a powerhouse.

    Thanks for making my point! Hawks will take any opportunity to try to grab the high ground since their coach, and they by association, have reputations for abysmal behavior.

    Their coach is chair-throwing, ref-charging, screaming bully with his own Francon rating system for out of control behavior and is a nationwide object of ridicule. And his players reflected that in how they went after Jake in the first half and then dunked the ball in the last minute of a game...

    Unprofessional ... as Purdy was walking off the field after he threw the interception two WVU players sought him out then sandwiched him and talked some trash ... it happened fast but if you watch the replay it was pretty obvious what they were doing ...

    This is absolutely correct. Getting the starters back next year ... PLUS at least 2 proven big-12-caliber, power-5 players with lots of experience ... PLUS one of the best recruiting classes in memory. If you are not positive about seeing improvement next year then you may need meds.
