Gotta go online for that kind of thing anymore, unless you go the big box stores. Even then they don't always have the real gear that outdoors men need.

Definitely sad to see stores like this close. Always love shopping in smaller outdoor rec stores. Whole Earth Provision is a comparable local chain in Texas, I think it helps they have online to supplement the brick & mortar locations.

I I’ve purchased a decent amount from Jax in the past. I think once the current stores close they will only have 3 stores left all in Colorado. Unless you are a big store like bass pro (where some people go for the experience) online is definitely making it tough I would think

Always appreciated that Jax was about the only place that didn't price gouge their ammo during covid, but they limited to 1 box per person per day.

Thank goodness Dunhams opened in the mall, otherwise there would be nothing for athletic gear in Ames. It’s unbelievable a town like Ames can’t support a major sporting goods store.
