Not exactly sure.
So is Weezer declaring for the draft? Heard Hawkeye fans say he might last year and when he was signed it was mentioned by the fans that they wouldn’t have him more than two years.

So is he gone?

The majority of Iowa fans wanted him to win but knew he probably wouldn't. Same majority thinks he hopefully will have a shot again next season. Even being a 2x first team all-american would be a pretty rare accomplishment.
Being a two time all-american that goes undrafted will be an even rarer accomplishment....:p

I mean they were going to be on the 8-9 seed line and for sure not going to make the second weekend so they were pretty much peak Fran already by the end of the fade
This exactly. Their rankings might be better than in years past, but the results at the end of the day suggest this was just another ho-hum Hawk team under Fran. Scratched and clawed and poked their way to 20 wins. Only difference is they had 1 guy doing pretty much all the work. This team would have won less than 12 games without Garza.

Nice try. Take out Garza, insert Kriener, and this years team still woulda kicked the clones butts in Hilton.

Round of 64 is the first round. Play in game is play in game. First weekend is the 2nd round.

First weekend is first and second rounds. second weekend is third and fourth rounds. which is why sweet 16 is considered second weekend.

To Prohm's detriment, he puts too many guys in the NBA.

Last year alone, he lost Shayok, THT, and Wiggs to the NBA.... and this year will lose Haliburton.

Fran is a recruiting genius in that he gets kids that are talented, but never athletic enough to go to the NBA... especially leave early for the NBA.

That's why Iowa is a decent team. They have really good college level players like JorBo, Weiskamp, Garza, maybe even Fredrick, but they are never good enough to leave early for the NBA.... or ever get to the NBA for that matter.

Which is also why Iowa will continue to have 20-23 win ceilings.

Good players, they just won’t give them a chance at 25+ wins.

It’s like they’re allllmost what Wisconsin is, but still a ways from it.

Which way do you prefer? Prohms way doesn't seem to be working. Maybe at some point he catches lightning in a bottle and has an elite 8 team or something but that's a lot of losing in between.
