Anything can happen in a one game scenario. But if the top two teams in the MVC were playing in the Big 12 or the Big 10, they'd end up being in the bottom half of both conferences. A slate of games of @ KU, home vs. OU, and then @ TTU is a bit different than playing @ Illinois State, home vs. Valpo, and then @ Missouri State.

Uni and Loyola. I know uni lost to wvu this year but go look at the play by play and read up
On the game. Uni was up with under a minute left when a horrible intentions foul call was made that gave wvu I believe 5 points between free throws and possession. Uni is the better team

The Net currently has UNI 37th behind Baylor, KU, West Virginia and TT. Not bad but not as good as you said. Loyola on the other hand would be dead last in the Big XII. They are 10-6 vs a horrible schedule and ranked 114th. What are you even talking about. The MVC is rated the 11th best conference on the RPI and the Big XII is #1.
