Is it typical to get state funding for building renovations at the regent universities? I thought these types of projects usually were funded through private giving and the university budget. Maybe this is common, but I was surprised to see almost 3/4 of the proposed funding coming from state funds.

No, that is absolutely common. Usually, it's a portion private donations and a portion state funding. ISU usually has a list of priorities that they approach the state for. But most times, it needs to align with state priorities.

Looks like ISU is getting state funding for some buildings too.
