Jackie was listed as a paid assistant. Story says she was interested in the head coaching job at MSU, but agreed that she didn't have the experience. Turned down the opportunity to be an assistant under the new coach.
Had been previously offered a scholarship to play for Coale & was inducted into the Hall of Fame with her. Tough decision but she saw it as a great opportunity.
