Just a quick reminder and some Great News to The Cyclone Family

The Big 12 Women’s Basketball tournament is coming back to KC for 2021-2024 seasons!

I’ve never experienced the women’s tournament but definitely plan on it in KC.

Is it still the week before the mens or are they planning on doing the girls and guys the same week?

They are planning on using the remodeled Municipal Auditorium it sounds like.
Should be a good time!

Thanks!

Not sure if they are piggy backing it with the men's tourney. That works the best for ISU attendance, lots of fans in the past came down for the men and would catch the ladies also instead of watching non ISU teams. Either way glad it's back in KC.

That's great, I'll get to meet a lot more of you folks that way. I introduced myself to quite a few different fans this year that I had never meet. They're all surprised that I know so much about the geography of the state. And I was also surprised that practically none of the ones I talked to ever read or post on Cyclone Fanatics. I tried to recruit them to the site but they really didn't seem interested. Some of them said, "We do all that on a facebook site". So there you go.

I did get to meet one poster who goes by knowelsjam. He was a super fellow.

The men and women’s tournaments will be held the same week. The women actually return to KC next year.

Great. It will be fun to see both.

Here is an excerpt from the article: “Interestingly enough we don’t have much debate at this point about the site of our tournament,” Bowlsby said. “I think our men’s tournament has been the best in the country.”

And I think he meant to add "Thanks to Iowa State fans."

I REALLY wish the women's tournament had been in KC this year. I was waffling on going to OKC, but ultimately decided to watch on tv (which was fortunate since we ended up with water damage from an ice dam on the roof Sunday). However, I'm really looking forward to going again now that it's back where it belongs (honestly). Kansas City lives for this stuff and they LOVE Iowa State fans.
