Been reading the Nebraska Basketball forums and it seems Miles is all but gone. The Majority want Fred as their new coach and can see no reason he wouldn't jump at the chance to be the head coach. I think T. J. would be their best bet.

Where's all the people in this forum who have been saying "Nebraska is good this year" "They'll be towards the top on the Big 10"?
Lincoln is such a hotbed of cultural and social activity. Why wouldn't Fred want to take a job there and be a part of that community?

It would be, but you'd think there would be better opportunities than a middling Big Ten outpost for him. I wouldn't blame any coach for trying to move up, but be selective.
We lived in Omaha for 7 years right out of college. We have friends that named their first son Miles, after Tim Miles (they were big Husker alums and fans). They weren't very keen to long-term thinking...

The idea that he would choose Nebraska over UCLA is hysterical, I personally think he will end up sticking in the NBA somewhere (Minnesota would be the obvious pick).
If his goal is to get back into coaching - and perhaps at the NBA level - he might consider another college gig. Does that mean he would go to Nebby? Probably not, but he could use a job like that - where there are some family ties - as a stepping stone to something greater. However, my guess is that he could get a MAJOR college gig anywhere, at the end of the season, based upon what he did here at ISU. If I were the UCLA AD - I'd go after Fred in a heartbeat (notice I used heartBEAT not heartTHROB).
