    OKC also does a great job - the city gets behind it and they draw crowds. It's similar to KC for the Big 12 tournament - someone else has to put up, or everyone needs to shut up and accept we have the best venue already for it.

    My guess is the inconsistency doesn’t go away but I think Harris and AJ will get better with it. Usually there’s a small jump between sophomore and junior years as players settle in, so I think Tanke for sure still has another year to keep finding her role and shot, especially as a bench player.

    I’m optimistic - the opposite usually stinks. We had some close calls this year on 50/50 games that went against us, win a few of them next year and things already look better. Win a few more by improving and getting better and it looks like a good season. We’ve made good additions this off...

    Jackson is going to start. There's no use to act otherwise. She's the best defender we have, she isn't going to be coming off the bench.

    This is going to be the crux of trying to get another player. We need to pay the players we have that we need to keep & we brought in Jada, a pretty splashy commit on her own. We need a role player, not a starter, and those typically aren't exactly going to just shine on the page.

    Stanford is a cautionary tale for them. ACC move definitely made that worse, but UCONN could end up in a Stanford+ situation if they aren’t careful.

    But seems like a much better person. It doesn’t necessarily lead to anything but neither was Barnes, so at least AZ gets that. I think AZ didn’t have the money (university was already in a money crunch), and made the best hire with the cash they had on hand.
