    I enjoyed listening to Gary and Ed over the years. Their corny phrases and schtick made me smile at their biased calls on the field....but that is what you expect when listening to the home team radio network. IMO he is a huge loss for hawkeye fans, and will be impossible to replace his passion.

    Growing up I totally agree that Mason City was much better than Fort Dodge. Now if you head downtown MC it is depressing. The mall and main street are a ghost town...so sad....just like FD. I agree the best part of MC is really the East side of Clear Lake.

    Also...Humboldt and Algona are nice communities to consider. Stay away from Emmetsburg, Forest City and avoid Mason City as much as Fort Dodge.

    When was the last time an ISU team competed for and won a national championship? Cross Country in 94? So in all honesty...what are we giving up here to not have to listen to Iowa fans arrogance? In the world of NIL, it probably is a good trade for ISU fans.
