This guy is a real creep......not only used the Federal government to bilk people out of millions of dollars that were purportedly for their disabilities, but then chickened out and fled the country. The worst part of it all is that, most likely, none of the money will be recovered.

And - the guy had the gall the run because he didn't think everyone else involved in the scheme was being punished as harshly as he is. (Or, is supposed to be.) Not only does he run from his mistake, he claims he's being singled out unfairly.

Wonder what some of my CF pals think a legitimate punishment would be?

EDIT: He also says he won't return unless guaranteed he won't be punished for fleeing. (face palm)

I'm more concerned that $600 MM could even be stolen, yikes.

That's a criminal act.

The problems with health care it is legally for profit and middlemen need to make an income. (Car insurance and health insurance are not comparable if you think about it). For instance several of United Health Care CEO's have compensation packages of over a billion dollars. Fifteen year leader William McGuire's pay and options worth is 1.6 billion, and former UHC CEO Stephen Hemsley is the third riches CEO and some source had his UHC package at over one billion. And, UHC also overcharged Medicare 3 billion worth to UnitedHealth from 2010 to 2015 alone: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/19/business/dealbook/unitedhealth-sued-medicare-overbilling.html That is just one company.

Contrary to belief Government functions cost much less to operate, less yet without criminals.
