As a graphic designer/art director this era of hip hop album covers from the time I was finishing up at ISU is incredibly offensive to me just for being the ugliest design of any commercial product in my life.
It was like they let somebody's cousin design all the hip hop albums on his Dell laptop from 1999-2003.

Molly Hatchet has perhaps one of the coolest names of all time with badass album art. My dad had these in his vinyl collection. I was excited to hear some METAL. I was rather confused, ha ha!
This is actually a really good album. Get Away is a classic IMO. But most people can't get past the cover.
If sketchy abstract images spook you, Nine Inch Nails covers some of that.
Same as the first two covers I posted; these last two are neither freaky or creepy.
These last two are not as provocative as the first two, but I thought I would post anyways.
