What the ****

He has lost one member from a staff he is still trying to get together. Take a look at KF's first couple of years and tell me how many he lost.

I don't even know how seriously I would consider him a loss. Yes, he was a good recruiter and he would have been good to keep, but he would of got paid by ISU regardless of whether Rhoads asked him to stay or not. Might as well put him to work pulling in the recurits since we are paying him. Who knows, maybe that was the deal the entire time. Outside of recuriting, I'm not sure how good of a coach he really is.

He has lost two I believe....

I think the move was for security, but not the $$$. Fountain liked working for Chizik, and more importantly, he knew Chizik liked him. He knows it will be for the long haul.
Rhoads had kept him on, but who knows how it would work out in the next year. Fountain could be out on the street after one season.
If Fountain is leaving for job security it is not wise to follow Chizzle. Chizstick will be at Auburn for three years max before he is run out of town. Rhoads will be at ISU much much longer than Geno is at Auburn.

The point I was trying to make was that there is no guarantee for Fountain that Rhoads will keep him longer than one year - they haven't worked together before.

I can't believe this topic has a thread and I'm not the least bit concerned about Rhoads keeping staff. I've always thought a big part of Frentz's success at Iowa was low staff turnover. Neither Parker (due to his age) nor O'Keef (due to his personality ) are head coach material. Any coaching staff turnover will have some impact but again am I concerned about Rhoads in this department? Absolutley not.

What a terrible comparison. Wow, he lost two SEC coaches back to the SEC. Use your head, if you aren't smart enough to understand the context of the situation, you probably shouldn't post about it.

The other thing about KF's staff is that Iowa has the money to keep coaches. Though ISU has a fairly large budget for assistants, it is not enough to keep coaches from leaving us to go to places like Auburn. If we get good coaches, there will be turnover at ISU. Hopefully we can get some coaches that are willing to stick around a few years till we can pay them more.
