It will officially be a circus on Saturday now that the clowns are attending. Wonder what all the "special" visitors will require for security. What happens if they can't scan in?

If the Ath Dept doesn’t understand the problem they can’t change the process to find a solution. They haven’t grasped the concept that people expect to have access to their seat that they have paid an excessive amount for without being herded like sheep to slaughter. The whole tailgate and game experience is sold as a pleasant exciting fun event and people don’t appreciate or expect to be dumped on. “Come earlier” defeats the whole tailgate concept that the AD has built the price of a seat on. Whoever is in charge of this mess in the Ath Dept is being covered by JP and needs to step up to the plate and realize this isn’t like a concert where the majority of the consumers just park and head to the gate.

Curious what solutions do we think are options for the university.

Going to the game a little earlier when you know there’s new technology is usually just common sense. There’s always difficulties with a new transition. It’s also common sense that people don’t want to do these types of jobs anymore so finding people to do them is harder than ever, even with starting pay being more than double what it was 3 years ago.

People did these jobs as recently as last season. What changed in nine months?

Were there empty turnstiles not being used 45 minutes before the game? If not, then this only creates longer lines. Not earlier entry

Shorten the time people can tailgate by not opening parking until later, then not allowing line up, just makes the early die hards that want to get there and set up later, and backed up when the regular joe tailgaters usually come, causing more of a traffic jam to start. But dont show up early!!!

Seems like an interesting concept. Show up later to tailgate, and leave your tailgate early to get in line for an hour to get into the game.

Oh and learn how to use the system...that doesnt seem to actually work consistently.

Seems like not only a lot of blame put on the fans, the ones paying the price to attend. In a school that has been known for awesome tailgating, but a lot of perks to attend being taken away.

Perfect for a guy that doesnt like drinking, and has been vocal that he is against drinking, that Pollard does.

Pay us money but dont tailgate, dont drink and stand in line early to attend. Oh and any problems are your fault.

I have been on Pollards side for years, but more and more he seems to be alienating and pissing people off and passing the buck on issues.

Still havent heard if he is going to get rid of that stupid wall.

That is about when we got there, and was in line for nearly 45m. The backup pilled up at about that time, and from their it just got worse.

It's a job that you work six days out of the year. That alone creates a high level of turnover year to year. Throw in last week's heat and lack of sun protection and the turnover accelerates.

Sure there's high turnover but that would have been true in 2021 and 2022 as well. What changed by 2023?

And how would any of those people know they had no sun protection? Hell, they probably wouldn't have even known the forecast when they took (or turned down) those jobs.

Doubling down on the lack of help as the driver. Someone needs to ask JP if cost saving has anything to do with moving totally paperless. Weldon, Williams, and Lick employees would really like to know.
