Huepel and him talk, yes, but I have it on reasonably good authority from a current SEC team staff member that Golesh actually calls plays. Former Big 12 school that now is the SEC. Does that mean every play? IDK.
It is Huepel's system yes - that there is no doubt.
And also, that's a cop out to say its his system... because this isn't really Manning's system then but Campbell's. So that's a bit of a non-starter.
You're either good at attacking a defense and calling plays or your not. The idea that you didn't draw up the play means nothing. Anyone can draw something on a white board. Can you identify which defender is in conflict, which area of the defense is weakest and can you call the play that takes advantage of that, that is everything.
I guarantee you Tom Manning can draw some pretty plays on a white board. But he can't call plays in rythm
