Beyer was the new gym when I was there . . . . Lied didn't exist and State was the old gym. That is the old, old State Gym.
Don't forget about Forker... I don't think it had been named Forker yet when I was there. I'm pretty sure it was called PE Building (PEB) at that time.

EDIT: Forker was built in 1940 and when I was there in the 80s it still had the original swimming pool in the basement which was a classic.

Yeah, like a custom 3D printed I-State lamp shade . . . . this is in clear PLA material. I am thinking of painting the I cardinal and the STATE gold. And the logo is on both sides of the shade. The I protrudes out, STATE is recessed into the material.

I know a few people in the ISU procurement office that can help with that. They are the ISU police when it comes to stuff like this. Been through a couple of presentations and they always bring up this stuff. They had some pretty cool items that people tried to peddle.

Any idea what all the digging is for in the old Olsen area? Removal of old footings and plumbing? Putting in new utilities?

A new press/suite tower would be an incredible (and much needed) upgrade. However it would likely be $150m+, as the entire west concourse would have to be upgraded along with it. It would be really cool to see it mirror the Sports Performance Center though, with added outdoor suite seating!

yup

was just thinking this. we need a press box upgrade. something like this that stretches from the 20's
It would look great, I agree. How much would it cost? If the SPC cost around $60 million, wouldn't the addition to the stadium be upwards o $100 million, then with all the work that may be needed to change the concourse to accommodate the addition? I hope that someday there will be demand for that very addition.

You know what would look cooler than a new press box?

Looks like they’re quite intent on getting the northern portion of the Olsen Building site ready for...whatever the current plan is for it. Grass? Patio?

We’ve seen like 4-5 different concepts for that plaza area. I would not be surprised if it’s completely different than what we’ve seen!
