Don't they only play it after wins these days? I understand the sentiment of it being an odd choice during a game, but it's added to a really fun atmosphere after wins. Obviously you could play just about any song after a big win and it would be fun, but seems like ISU fans have really embraced it in that context.

I liked it plenty when it was a classic rock staple. I still like it (and the rest of the Diamond opus) in that context.

I met Neil Diamond once through work, nice guy. However this song has come cliche and boring, prefer we do something original. There are any number of other songs that could be more iconic.
