Prohm might still be waiting on some small chance that Wigginton comes back and if that is true he may have told Bolton that which means we won't know on Bolton for a couple of weeks.

If doing that, would think could have made Johnson wait rather than Bolton.

No, if you have a target visit and extend an offer you don't tell them they have to hold off. If they wouldn't take his commitment last Saturday, then he isn't worth about an offer in the first place. Teams get in trouble taking secondary (or worse) recruits.
I don't know how else to say it the staff viewed him as their top sit out transfer early and they wanted him perhaps over Bolton. Fans need to come to terms with their view of a player off a highlight tape isn't our coaches view.

We'll see how Johnson turns out but Goodman tweeted that he talked to a coach who said he has NBA potential, JJ has talent and isn't a "fallback". Plus he had a Arkansas visit scheduled this week. this thought process also assumes Bolton ends up coming to ISU, which isn't a given,

BTW scholarships have a way of working out in the end if Bolton commits and LW wants to return.

G league camp is over today.. LW certainly didn’t help himself out with his first performance.. LW will get feedback this week and then likely decide once and for all by end of this week I’d think if he’s even deciding anything or not..

Yeah, pretty sure he won't get combine invite with that performance. Now it is simply a question of whether he is willing to play in GL or overseas. Seems unlikely he is coming back but you never know, stranger things have happened.

I think JJ's definitely has the profile of a kid with pro potential with this size, length. athleticism and ability to shoot and defend multiple positions. Just needs some development and hard work.

I've been told by a good source that this is a possibility. I still think he stays in the draft, but just passing on what I've been told by a source I consider reliable.

LW is just in a really tough spot right now. He didn't improve his game much this year, so to most scouts he's a known commodity.

Given he's not even a top 100 guy right now, even getting a G league slot could be tough.

Selfishly, our team is set up just perfect for him. We have bigs and complementary pieces and he could be the go-to scorer. Can Prohm get him to be a better defender? Can he improve his decision making, even if its only a few possessions as a PG?

Right now, LW is just not good enough to be a pro. He needs to improve. The question is just where he wants to make that improvement....

Looking at that list, Jaevin Cumberland jumps out to me as a want. He just visited Michigan and got an offer, but that may change with Beilein leaving. Probably too late to get involved though

There could be another round of transfers coming if a high major coach leaves to take the Michigan job. Silly season isn't over yet.
