MC played in Ames back in the day. They stayed at the Gateway Holiday Inn, which had a piano bar where a friend of mine played, and where I hung out on occasion. I went in one evening and this guy walking in before me was wearing a leather jacket. Painted on the back of the jacket was a woman wearing nothing but stilettos, shown from behind, bending over and looking between her legs at me. Cindy told me who they were.
Class act.
Vince Vaughn has always kinda bugged me. The first thing I remember him in was Swingers with Jon Favreau. He was the dickhead friend, but I liked the movie a lot.
But then he kept doing the same character in every single movie. It occurred to me that he's so good at being an ******* that there is probably a reason for it.
I've liked other movies he's been in, but it would not surprise me in the least if he was a jerk IRL.
He has a fairly interesting background. His mom was a high level executive at a financial firm in Chicago. He could have been extremely entitled because of this but I think she was a victim of fraud and ended up losing a ton of money. This kept him somewhat grounded and probably made him a bit cynical.
It's also patriotic. Patrick Henry once said, "Give me my **** jokes or give me death."
Ask not what you can do for your **** pics, ask what your **** pics can do for you.
I know little man needs a college fund, but I guess all I really ask is enough to pay off student loans and a few other bills. Deal?
Agreed, I won't be greedy either. I wouldn't even need a full million. I'd just love to be able to pay off all my and my wife's debt
I don't have to (or have the opportunity to) buy any of the fundraiser foods stuff anymore since work was the sell/buy place. I am the non-family guy in the neighborhood so few people even talk to me let alone try and have their kids sell stuff to me. It's cool not to be bugged all the time but way uncool to be basically ostracized.
Except for FB friends. It's ******* open season when it comes to cash American pledges.

My 13 year old car's engine died yesterday. Thankfully, they had a decent used car we could get. Still it was really weird/sad driving the new to me car today.
Fist bump of solidarity for 13 year old cars.
But I really really really really really want mine to hold out for another year or more.
I've decided I'll he happy if my car lasts me through my last year of college, then I'll have a little more freedom to upgrade/do some major repairs.
Speaking of which, does anyone have a recommendation for someone in the central Iowa area that buys cars for parts or wants to get them running again? I still have the car I drove in high school because it was nice to have that extra car for when one of our other cars was in the shop. Now that my sister and I are both gone it just sits. It needs a lot of work and I don't have the time or the money to fix the major problems so I just want to get out of it what I can. I'd like to get a little more than scrap value out if it but at the same time $1000 is probably the high end of what it's worth as it sits.

I think I may have found a more passive aggressive populace than Minnesota here in Bermuda. It's actually pretty unreal. Canadian you're fine and American you're not. I've been lying more than not and saying I am from Windsor Canada just so I don't get the crap
