So my Mom's older sister turns 90 this year - when her kids asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said it would be nice to celebrate it with her sister (knowing full well it wasn't gonna happen, Mom's in NE Wisconsin and sis in southern Oklahoma).
And then her kids went out and got airline tickets for her to visit Mom in July....a couple of the kids are coming along, the vixen and I and my siblings will be there,too. Pretty nice deal for the girls - one is 90, the other 88, probably won't be too many chances for them to get together again.

Although a little campy at times, I love this movie and the story in general. Having no brother, I am jealous of those of you from big families....and I know the usual comeback is all the negatives and family warfare. Still, I think siblings are gifts.

I'd be sure to tell them that you indicated to the prospective buyers that the pics showed there was no problem with the water -- that the drainage was in fact very good. You can't go wrong with apologetically telling the truth IMO.
Watched The Dirt last night. On netflix, about the band Motley Crue. Basically it is Nikki Sixx and a little Tommy Lee re-enacting all the drugs and sex that the bad had back in the day. Kinda like a condensed version of the wolf of wall street. Not a lot of worthwhile value in the movie.
all good, neighbor seemed good to learn I wasn't like, trying to sabotage their home selling efforts nor did I have pictures showing water where the dude said it was. Neighbor said he seemed hung up on water issues in general and I mentioned how they said they've been house hunting for years so yeah. I wonder if they are what you'd term "high needs".

A friend of mine wanted to watch it with his 12 year old son. I said if it's about Motley Crue it's most likely going to be a lot of sex and drugs.
He watched it in advance and decided it wasn't a good idea to let a 12 year old watch it.
literally exactly what I was trying to show. There'd need to be a hell of a lot of water to get up the grade to their foundation. And based on our location, it's just not likely. We get the drainage from about 10-12 houses but there's nothing else "upstream" so to speak. We are a couple blocks from the highest elevation point in our little area so there's not a lot of space for water to come from.
Have you seen Nebraska? That was similar, Bruce Dern was awesome.

I think Nikki Sixx was declared legally dead twice from drug overdoses. Did they talk about the big (proposed) fight between Vince Neil and Axl Rose? Those two simps couldn't slap their way out of a wet paper bag.

The running joke in my family is that every year when we get together, dad will say some variety of "You never know what will happen. This could be the last year we all get together." I think I've been hearing it for 15+ years now
My parents are 84 and 85. I know they won't live forever, but they aren't going down without a fight. As far as the result of my sibs and their kids, we have a great time together. Regardless of my dad's unnecessary guilt trip , we make it a point to set up a time every year to get together and look forward to it.
Very much agreed on the siblings being gifts.
The dudes in the early 70's were always fighting. Remember when Chuck Jean got tossed out of school after **** got WAY out of control. Seemed like there were always fights between football players and wrestlers in the bars. You were best served to just avoid those ********, and I mean the wrestlers, not the football guys. Some of the football guys were big and scary but they were not dangerous to be around and weren't LOOKING for trouble.
It's funny this guy had 2 football players as roommates as a freshman. He is from small town Iowa and these were two kids from (I believe he said Chicago) He said they fought constantly but when asked if he wanted to change rooms he said no because he refused to back down from anything.
One of my best friends lived in old RCA with a floor full of wrestlers. It was stupid how many times I'd be walking through the halls and a wrestling match would randomly break out. Those guys just thrived on contact of some sort.
Then, at the end of the season, they'd throw a party on the floor. Since none of them drank and they all weighed far less than most everyone else, their tolerance was garbage. After a couple beers, most of them were already pretty buzzed and looking for a fight. It was always a good idea to stay the hell away from that party.
