Big Brother 20 thread

Zingbot hit the nail on the head with Sam’s zing. She is bat **** crazy!

I still can’t get over the fact that Fessi put Scottie on the block. I loved how Hay was trying to make him realize the error in his decision and how ******* clueless he was.

If I were Hay I’d be so ******* mad at him I wouldn’t be able to talk to him

I thought it was hilarious how everyone scattered as soon as Sam's zing was thrown out there.

I also would've been a little nervous if I were them when she first saw the destroyed BB house. I could definitely see her standing over their bed in the middle of the night (paranormal style) all the while holding a butcher knife behind her back. That girl is psycho.

I think it’s funny how fessi thinks he is playing so well. Can’t wait till he watches it and realize he is a joke and everyone is playing him. Guy is clueless. Like how Tyler tries to not laugh when stuff is going down.

I always thought the strangest thing about big brother is if you were on the show. Then went back and watched it. I bet 95 percent of the roomates are shocked on what is really going on. It would be totally strange to think you are in 100 percent and watch it and find out you were being played by someone you thought was a friend. Fessi is going to want to murder JC when he watches it.

Ok here is a strategy for that hide and go veto I thought of last night that I am surprised no one has implemented yet (by the way Brett's strategy was genius but as my wife pointed out that big pile would have made her suspicious and she would have spent her time going through it).

Anyways, you know that Hide and go veto is going to be done at some point. So day one you start finding good hiding place or even start manufacturing a hiding space. But I can't figure out why no one has thought of telling their ride or die where they hide each others so they don't accidently find one anothers.

You know how much of a trainwreck Foutte (Fessi included is) when they've only been in on the right side of the vote 3 times......and each one of those times was someone from their own side.

My wife and I discussed this as well. I think what saved Brett is the 2 minute limit makes it kind of hard, and maybe you think a pile up has already been moved through. I also thought it would be a red flag to explore but it worked out.

I said the same thing too when it comes to this comp. You know it's coming, so start scouting out great places immediately. We talked about the whole ride or die people letting them know the spots leading up to that, but I think that's pretty frowned upon by production. I know in at least other countries stuff like that gets your stipend or prize money taken away.

That's what I thought too! I was like Scottie better tell Sam just to chill outside for a bit before going in as she would more than likely flip. She didn't do to bad though. Scottie was brutal with all the liquid on the floor.

I wouldn't make it obvious. Whisper it to the person in bed or mention it in passing.

True True. I've listen to Alison talking about some of these before and they really do watch people for stuff like that like a hawk. I remember one year (not sure if BBUS) a couple of guys always played chess together and they had a secret language so they wouldn't have to talk out loud and each piece represented people, and moves meant a certain thing.

A few years ago one of the girls would write messages with her finger on stuff and production would tell her to quit doing it. So basically she would write out the letters on the wall so the person she was talking to could see what she wrote. They have some crazy rules in that house.

That's what I loved about the live feeds back in the day. Just to hear how often production was yelling at them. It seems like as time went on though they just always cut to fish whenever this happened.

In the Australian version everytime they did something against the rules they would be fined and the prize money would be reduced.

Completely off topic to BB20, but I went back through and rewatched season 2 this week. Some interesting notes:

1. There was no veto competition. If you weren't nominated, you were good to go.
2. There was a huge emphasis on food competitions. The "have not" punishment was that you could only eat PBJs....which to me wouldn't be too horrible.
3. Will won the season by throwing every comp, lying his ass off and being open about it, but being able to be social/fun. Early on, he got most of the houseguests to fast for a day...only so he could figure out who is weak minded.
4. In earlier seasons, Julie used to talk to the HoH in the HoH room on eviction days.
5. When you were voted out, you had more time to say bye. You then left the house to go outside then to a different building with Julie waiting. It was also in the daytime.
6. After the jury voted in the finale, each finalist was allowed to veto a vote. Then the jury came back into the house and showed/revealed their vote.
7. CBS let a lot more edgy content go than what would be allowed now.
8. One contestant basically was cheating on her bf with a showmance with Will and CBS actually interviewed the bf now. Don't see those things now.
9. It's only been 17 years and the house/clothing/styles are so dated.
10. houseguests were allowed pictures. They were also allowed to play games and use playing cards.
11. Will basically ripped into the jury in his final two speech saying its their own fault they are upset with him because they can't accept reality.

The goal is to next watch BB Allstars where I thought Will was even better. Dan's seasons 10, 14, and Derrick's season 16 again. Those 3 are the consensus best 3 of all time, so curious to see what my thoughts are after a second time.

Season 8 was pretty good. I didn't care for season 16 at all actually. If I'm remembering right that season basically started the trend of having 1 decent player surrounded by a bunch of mindless minions that was capped off by the ridiculousness of last year. This year has been great though.

Yeah Derrick was amazing but my big knock on him was that he never really faced adversity. Donnie was the only one who caught on to him, but Derrick got him out before anything could happen. Then, Frankie was about to take a shot but they had a week reset. I'd love to see Derrick in an All-Star season.

I would as well. However, I think Derrick is on to bigger and better things now. He hosts an investigation show that is pretty solid if you have watched it.

Season 1 BTW was not even remotely close to what we see today. Fans called in and voted people out. It was horrible and I almost didn't tune back in for season 2.

The one thing I will say that I am amazed at though. I can't even remember most of the house guests from other seasons. There are a few standouts like the winners. However, most of them I look back on and can't remember who the hell they were.

I listened to a long form podcast from the RHAP gang ranking all BB seasons (I think up until 17 at the time) and they didn't include season 1 due to the format.

CBS did a ton of overhauling from 1 to 2 and its changed even more sense. Incorporating social media revived the show a few years back in my opinion.

I've not been able to remember all the names until I started listening to daily feed podcasts the last couple summers.

Season 2 was awesome. I still have it on an old drive, the wife and I are going to watch it at some point. I don't remember many bit players from season to season besides here and there, but I can probably rattle off all of season 2.

Also, back then they used to let them get a lot drunker.

Justin held a knife up to an intoxicated Krista's throat while the two made out, leading to his expulsion minutes later.[46] The HouseGuests were not aware of the precise reason Justin had been expelled, as Krista could not remember the event.[47]

You'd like BB Canada. This season they let the houseguests have a drunken pizza party....just get obliterated. Then they were awoken early in the morning and had to do an HoH comp while hungover.

Only one contestant realized during the party this could happen so he pretended to be drunk. Was a genius move. Too bad he sucked at the comp.

The fact that they can't sing in the house is one of the dumbest rules
