Completely off topic to BB20, but I went back through and rewatched season 2 this week. Some interesting notes:
1. There was no veto competition. If you weren't nominated, you were good to go.
2. There was a huge emphasis on food competitions. The "have not" punishment was that you could only eat PBJs....which to me wouldn't be too horrible.
3. Will won the season by throwing every comp, lying his ass off and being open about it, but being able to be social/fun. Early on, he got most of the houseguests to fast for a day...only so he could figure out who is weak minded.
4. In earlier seasons, Julie used to talk to the HoH in the HoH room on eviction days.
5. When you were voted out, you had more time to say bye. You then left the house to go outside then to a different building with Julie waiting. It was also in the daytime.
6. After the jury voted in the finale, each finalist was allowed to veto a vote. Then the jury came back into the house and showed/revealed their vote.
7. CBS let a lot more edgy content go than what would be allowed now.
8. One contestant basically was cheating on her bf with a showmance with Will and CBS actually interviewed the bf now. Don't see those things now.
9. It's only been 17 years and the house/clothing/styles are so dated.
10. houseguests were allowed pictures. They were also allowed to play games and use playing cards.
11. Will basically ripped into the jury in his final two speech saying its their own fault they are upset with him because they can't accept reality.
The goal is to next watch BB Allstars where I thought Will was even better. Dan's seasons 10, 14, and Derrick's season 16 again. Those 3 are the consensus best 3 of all time, so curious to see what my thoughts are after a second time.
